What we do.
A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led and business-funded body formed to improve a defined commercial area. InExeter is an independent company run by businesses for the benefit of local businesses. The levy fund collected is invested directly back into the area.
Our Objectives.
We aim to transform Exeter for everyone who works, lives or visits here. InExeter businesses and stakeholders come together to set these development priorities. They form the basis of the Exeters BID plans. Our initiatives focus on four themes; Enhanced Environment, Safer Centre, Better Business and Distinctive Destination.
Welcoming & Attractive Streets
InExeter plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and vibrancy of the streetscape. Experience, enjoyment and perception of our city streets should be positive and welcoming. We also invest heavily in landscaping, planting and greening initiatives.
Evening Economy
InExeter commissioned Night Time Economy Solutions to work on a strategy for the evening and night time economy. The outputs from this will lead to our application for Purple Flag status. We are working to enhance the experience of Exeter in the evening.
