Crime Prevention & Safety: InExeter partners with Exeter Business Against Crime (www.ebac.org.uk), offering BID members a £100 subsidy on their EBAC membership.
Enhanced Street Cleaning: Members within the BID area have access to InExeter’s enhanced street cleaning service.
Professional Photography: Receive a complimentary 1-hour photography session for your business.
Independent Gift Card Scheme: Register your business on the Independent Gift Card scheme (https://inexetergiftcard.co.uk/) and receive monthly reports on spend and funded cards. This benefit is available for independent businesses with 6 or fewer premises.
Engagement Opportunities: Attend meetings and contribute to area projects and programs, giving your business a voice in local initiatives.
Business Support Training: Participate in free business support training courses such as First Aid at Work, Basic Food Hygiene, and Fire Safety, with one team member per course each year.
Board Participation: Associate members are eligible to apply for positions on the InExeter Board of Directors when vacancies arise, which are advertised to the membership.
Note: Associate Membership does not grant voting rights in BID ballots.
Who Can Join?.
Associate Membership is open to businesses located within the BID boundary of InExeter with a rateable value under £7,500, as well as businesses with premises adjacent of the BID area.
The membership is available on an opt-in basis, making it ideal for those who want to engage with InExeter and take advantage of all it has to offer, regardless of rateable value.
Membership Fee .
Within BID Boundary: Businesses with a rateable value below £7,500 pay a fixed fee of £114.75 + VAT.
Outside BID Area: Businesses nearby pay either 1.53% of their premises’ RV, or if below £7,500, the fixed fee of £114.75 + VAT.
Membership Period .
Associate Membership covers the 2026/2027 financial year (April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027). Please note, applications received during this period will still expire on March 31, 2027, and the full fee applies regardless of join date, there are no pro-rata adjustments.
