Seasonal Campaigns.

We focus our marketing on two key seasons: Christmas and summer. InExeter leads these campaigns, bringing partners together to create a stronger, unified voice for the city. By combining resources and efforts, we amplify impact, increase reach, and achieve more than we could individually—showcasing Exeter at its best.

JUNE BOOM

Christmas Lights.

InExeter is responsible for the annual festive lighting in all public areas of the city. Thanks to the levy contributions of businesses, we’re able to illuminate the streets and spread festive cheer to residents and visitors. Our Christmas lights extend from Fore Street to Sidwell Street, illuminating key areas including Magdalen Road, Gandy Street, Queen Street, Paris Street, North Street, and South Street.

Social media.

Our social media is our ‘always on’ channel, offering a window into Exeter city centre. We use it to celebrate the city and the businesses within the BID, sharing positive stories, newsworthy updates, and curated guides to help audiences discover more. With a strong following and high engagement, InExeter is a powerful voice for the city.

Street Art.

Since 2022, we have been working on projects to transform unloved areas of the city to create vibrant and colourful spaces in collaboration with local and national artists. The project has achieved 10 street art enhancements – discover them all with our Street Art Map.

Fore Street Flea.

Established in 2016, the Fore Street Flea remains a highlight in Exeter’s calendar. This event temporarily transforms the street into a bustling marketplace, with an eclectic mix of stalls offering everything from vintage clothing and bric-a-brac to original artwork, accessories, and delicious food and drink. Complete with live entertainment, the Fore Street Flea offers a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, making it a perfect destination for a Sunday outing in the West Quarter.

Exeter Maps and Wayfinding.

We understand the importance of helping people navigate the city and discover all it has to offer. We’ve invested in several wayfinding projects, including city maps: one used on the Council’s monoliths to help people find their way, and another more illustrative version that celebrates Exeter’s unique identity. We also use maps as a way of highlighting the unique Independent Businesses in the city including a Retail and Food & Drink guides.
