Markets in Exeter.

At InExeter, we hold a special appreciation for markets and their unique ability to bring life and excitement to our city's streets. Over the years, we have proudly supported the creation and growth of various market events, providing a platform for innovative start-ups and well-established traders.

Events such as the Fore Street Flea, Exeter Independent, Young Traders, and seasonal Christmas pop-ups have significantly contributed to the vibrant street scene in Exeter. These markets have not only driven footfall but also added a dynamic and appealing aspect to the city's atmosphere.

While InExeter continues to be involved in coordinating the quarterly Fore Street Flea, our role in the direct delivery of markets has evolved. We now focus more on collaborating with city partners to support market activities, with Cathedral Green and Princesshay increasingly taking the lead in market operations.

Fore Street Flea .

Celebrating over eight years of community engagement, the Fore Street Flea remains a highlight in Exeter’s calendar. This event temporarily transforms the street into a bustling marketplace, with an eclectic mix of stalls offering everything from vintage clothing and bric-a-brac to original artwork, accessories, and delicious food and drink. Complete with live entertainment, the Fore Street Flea offers a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, making it a perfect destination for a Sunday outing in the West Quarter.
